Trina Says, “F**k BET” After Not Being Nominated For Any Awards

Miami’s femcee Trina isn’t happy with BET. Yesterday Tuesday (May 17) Terrance J and Rocsi of BET‘s “106 & Park” announced the nominees for the 2011 BET Award. After releasing a successful album titled Amazin‘, BET still excluded Trina in the “Best Female Hip-Hop Artist” category. Nicki Minaj, Cymphonique, LoLa Monroe, and Diamond, will all compete in that category. After the nominations were read, Trina took to her official Twitter account @ TRINArockstarr and expressed her anger/feelings toward the network by saying “F**k BET.”

MTV & BET Bans Game “Red Nation” Video

Game’s new video “Red Nation” Ft. Lil Wayne will never see the light of day on BET and MTV because viacom banned the video because of gang affiliation. This Thursday Game will be premiering the video himself.  Game took to his Twitter account @TheGame to air out his anger toward BET and MTV; and to let his fans know the delay for his long-awaited video. Peep Game’s tweets below:

Foxy Brown, Wiz Khalifa, Keri Hilson & Fabolous “Rip The Runway” With BET

Last night Saturday (February 26) BET filmed their 7th annual “Rip The Runway” 2011. The show was tapped at the Hammerstein Ballroom in NYC. Model Selita Ebanks and Actor/Model Mehcad Brooks hosted this year’s event. Brooklyn’s Don Diva, Foxy Brown was spotted on the red carpet looking all glammed up. Fabolous, Wiz Khalifa, Llyod, Keri Hilson, Melanie Fiona, Miguel and New Boyz all took the stage to perform some of their most classic hits. Models walked across the catwalk in outfits designed by Lil Nikole, Tennille White, Rachel Roy, LaQuan Smith and more. Peep the pictures below.

The grand-daughter of the Honorable Minister Louis Farrakhan is partnering with BET to educate the youth on HIV/AIDS. Queen YoNasDa is a female emcee from Arizona who has done work to protest the immigration law and also spearheaded “Hip-Hop for Haiti”. Seems like a perfect fit. (more…)
