For the past few weeks, Young Jeezy been busy promoting his new album Thug Motivation 103: Hustlaz Ambition. While doing some press in New York City, Vibe caught up with Jeezy for a brief conversation. Jeezy talked about working with Jill Scott, Andre 3000 and Jay-Z. According to Hits Daily Double, TM103 is projected to sell between 200-225K in the first week, based on one-day reports from retailers.

Jay-Z and Kanye West aka The Throne begin filming the video for their #1 single “N***** In Paris.” The visual, which is being directed by Kanye West was filmed at the Staples Center in L.A. Last Month, the song reached No. 1 on Billboard’s R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart. According to Billboard, “Ni**as in Paris” is Jay-Z and Kanye West’s first No. 1 from their BIllboard 200 No. 1 album. Watch The Throne’s lead single, “Otis,” peaked at No. 2 on R&B/Hip-Hop Songs in September.”

College graduated/NC native J. Cole signed to Jay-Z’s Roc Nation label over 2 1/2 years ago and been very consistent since. Before releasing his first solo album, entitled Cole World: The Sideline Story, which debuted at #1, selling over 218,000 copies in the first week, Cole released a few mixtapes and EP’s including The Come Up, The Warm Up, Friday Night Lights, and Any Given Sunday EP. A few weeks ago, he was also nominated for his first Grammy Award for “Best New Artist.”

Music mogul Jay-Z and rapper Kanye West kicked off their highly anticipated “The Throne” tour last night Friday (October 28), at the Philips Arena in Atlanta. Hova and Yeezy opened their set in a creative way. They entered the arena in two cube-shaped mini stages to the music of “H•A•M.” The show lasted for about 2 1/2 hours. They performed tracks from their platinum-selling album, entitled Watch The Throne, before doing their solo sets. Peep the pictures below:

In a recent interview with VIBE, J.Cole revealed that Jay-Z wasn’t originally going to be on the song, but after the MTV VMAs, Jay hopped on the track. Jay came through on “Mr. Nice Watch,” calm and cool as ever. He didn’t necessarily diss Lil Wayne, but he let him know “It’s only a matter of time before I hit ya’ll niggas with a nice shot.” More after the jump!!! (more…)
