Lil Wayne and Drake are both preparing to release new albums this year. On August 29, YMCMB rapper Lil Wayne will be releasing his ninth solo studio album, Tha Carter IV. The official artwork and tracklisting has been revealed. The standard edition has a total of 15 tracks including the lead single “6 Foot 7 Foot” Ft. Cory Gunz, “John” Ft. Rick Ross, “How to Love,” and “She Will” Ft. Drake. Miami’s DJ Khaled recently received a gold plaque for his single “I’m On One” Ft Drake, Rick Ross and Lil Wayne. The track has sold over 500,000 copies, earning a gold certification from the RIAA. Last week, the single reached the #1 position on the Billboard charts. DJ Khaled new album We The Best Forever is now in stores and online.

Last night Wednesday (July 6), former Murder Inc singer Ashanti tweeted a photo of her and Lil Wayne in a recording session together. The platinum-selling singer released her last album The Declaration back in 2008. Ashanti launched her own label called Written Entertainment and is expected to drop a single within the next few weeks.
