Today, MTV and VEVO premiered Nas’ new visual “The Don”, which serves as the second single off the Queens native 10th studio LP, entitled Life Is Good, which arrives in stores on July 17th. The album will feature productions from Salaam Remi, Hit-Boy, Swizz Beatz, and more. Watch below:

20 years later, Nas is still reppin Queens. The platinum-selling Hip-Hop legend recently released his new single “The Don.” The Salaam Remi produced and co-produced by Heavy D track serves as the second single off Nas’ 11th solo LP, Life Is Good. On the track, Nas took it back to the 90′s fashion, by rapping about army jackets, “Army Jacket swag Army jacket green and black Wit the square top pocket that snaps.” He also names upscale designer clothes and cars such as Roberto Cavalli, Benz and Bentley in the song. Back in January, it was announced that music artist Swizz Beatz was working on a new mixtape. RapFix caught up with Swizzy recently, he revealed that Rick Ross, Nas, DMX , The Lox and A$AP Rocky will all be featured on his mixtape. “When the Rick Ross mixtape Rich Forever came out that inspired me to do a mixtape because sometimes people need to get back into the element of what you do, since they see you doing so many different ventures,” said Swizz Beatz, confirming that, “My first single is with me and A$AP Rocky.”
Young Money’s recording artist Tyga will be releasing his forthcoming LP, entitled Careless World: Rise Of The Last King on February 21. The disc has collaborations with Nas, Lil Wayne, Drake, Nicki Minaj, Big Sean, J. Cole, Robin Thicke and others. In an interview with XXL mag, Tyga said that it took a while but he got a verse featuring Nas on the album. The track is called “Kings and Queens” that also features Wale.
Singer Chris Brown was recently spotted in the studio with Nas. Breezy also took to his official Twitter account @Chris Brown and revealed that Nas will appear on his upcoming album. Breezy new disc Fortune is due this spring. A visual for the single “Strip” Ft. Kevin McCall was shot and released. The album is also rumored to featured Asher Roth, Wiz Khalifa, Kid Sister, and will.i.am, among others. Nas new album will be out later this year.
This weekend was homecoming for rapper Nas. The Queens native went back to Queensbridge to shoot the video to “Nasty,” which is the first single off his upcoming LP Life Is Good. This is the follow-up to Nas’ 2008 Untitled album, which debuted at number one on the Billboard 200 album charts selling 187,078 copies in the first week of release. Peep the pictures below:
