Drumma Boy reveals his latest project – a striking original score for the indie film, Blood First.
The film’s trailer dropped today, and offers a sneak peek at the gripping story of two brothers coming of age in what MSNBC’s Rachel Maddow has called “America’s most dangerous neighborhood.” Blood First features jaw-dropping portrayals of the unspeakable violence and crime that occurs every day in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, brought to life by actors Edwin Lee Gibson, Aki Jamal, and Carter Redwood.
“We were very fortunate to get the opportunity to work with multiplatinum music producer Drumma Boy. What people don’t understand is that he is a real musician and artist who worked hard to create a musical soundscape for this film that supported the story and heightened the emotions. He is the ‘real deal,’ very humble and extremely talented. We can’t wait to work with him again in the future!” says Najaa Young, President and CEO of NaRa Films. The film’s gritty title song “Blood First,” produced by Drumma Boy, features Project Pat and Turk (formally of Hot Boyz).
